There are more than a few dream teams out there in the world of entertainment, whether they be actors with fantastic chemistry or an actor and director who always seem to make magic when they take on a project together. One such pairing is director Rian Johnson and always entertaining actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
After first working together nearly 20 years ago in 2005's neo-noir curiosity Brick, the two didn't collaborate again until 2012's time-travel thriller Looper. Now, the duo is teaming up once more for the first time in a decade for Johnson's upcoming new series on Peacock known as Poker Face, so expectations are bound to be high.

Variety reports that Gordon-Levitt has just joined the project, set to star alongside Russian Doll star Natasha Lyonne, who was previously announced as the lead on Poker Face. The show will feature Lyonne's currently unnamed character solving a new murder every episode, perhaps like a slightly more frizzy Columbo. Aside from that, little is known about the series other than the involvement of Johnson and now Gordon-Levitt, whose character is also currently unrevealed.
This will be the third time Johnson and Gordon-Levitt have collaborated on a project, and fans of the two might want to keep an eye on its progress. Johnson has a particular knack for mysteries and intrigue in his movies, particularly notable in the deceptively smart Knives Out (as well as its upcoming sequel, no doubt). So it will be very interesting to see how his style translates to television, particularly after guest directing 3 of Breaking Bad's most memorable (and arguably divisive) episodes.
