Nintendo has announced that Jet Force Gemini is the next game set to be added to Switch Online’s Nintendo 64 library.
Rare‘s underrated action game will be released in December, though a set date has yet to be confirmed.
The game follows a galactic law enforcement team called Jet Force Gemini, who are down to their final three members. The trio land on the planet Goldwood and have to rescue a tribe of small creatures called the Tribals from the evil insectoid Mizar and his army.
Players have to explore 15 worlds and collect all the Tribals hidden in each one, making use of each character’s unique skills to reach them all.
Offering widescreen support and Dolby Surround, Jet Force Gemini was one of the most technically accomplished titles on the N64 despite not requiring the console’s Expansion Pak for extra RAM.
Japan will be getting Jet Force Gemini (where it was known as Star Twins) on November 30, as well as GoldenEye 007, which it has yet to receive.
When it comes to Switch Online next month, Jet Force Gemini will bring the total list of N64 games on Switch Online up to 27 in the west, following the addition of Mario Party 3 in October and Pokémon Stadium 2 and Excitebike 64 in August.

Switch Online’s Expansion Pack tier launched in October 2021 alongside a library of Nintendo 64 games. This was initially met with frustration from some players, due to emulation issues and a lack of features including button mapping.
However, regular updates to the service have seen the emulation improve, and now most major issues have been remedied.
