In addition, the studio also confirmed that production on Deliver Me From Nowhere has also started, with Scott Cooper directing from a screenplay he also wrote. Filming will mostly take place in New Jersey and New York City, with additional production in Los Angeles. Based on Warren Zanes’ book of the same name, the project chronicles Bruce Springsteen’s emotional journey to record one of his most highly-regarded albums to date.
“Beginning production on this film is an incredibly humbling and thrilling journey,” Cooper said in a statement. “Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Nebraska’ has profoundly shaped my artistic vision. It has been a great pleasure to collaborate with Bruce and Jon [Landau] as I tell their story, and their creative energy fuels every part of this journey. As well, I’m excited to reunite with my friend, David Greenbaum [president, Disney Live Action and 20th Century Studios], as he embarks on his new role at Disney, adding another layer of inspiration to this project.”
The ensemble cast also includes Paul Walter Hauser as guitar tech Mike Batlan, Odessa Young as Faye, Stephen Graham as Springsteen’s father, and Johnny Cannizzaro as The E Street Band member Stevie Van Zandt. The film is produced by Cooper, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Eric Robinson, and Scott Stuber, with Tracey Landon and Warren Zanes serving as executive
