All the details about 2.7, including its release date, the new characters, their kits, the banners, and other pieces of playable content, have been confirmed and detailed by developer HoYoverse. As the turn-based progresses further into the last stages of Version 2.6, HoYoverse held a special livestream to present all the information about the upcoming patch. During the event, the developer showcased the gameplay kits for both Sunday and Fugue in 2.7, which had already been teased as the new playable support characters arriving in the patch.
While new characters often take up most of the time in the limelight, the Version 2.7 livestream also served as a stage to tease the new Trailblaze Mission Chapter, which had been leaked with a massive story spoiler – unmentioned by HoYoverse as a means to keep its plot twist a secret. Furthermore, the events lined up for the update were also presented, some of which had already leaked, like the customization mode in 2.7. With the livestream out of the way, confirming the patch, players shouldn’t have to wait much longer before exploring the new content.
As was originally anticipated because of the game’s regular six-week schedule for each update, Version 2.6 is set to end soon, just before the release of Version 2.7 on December 4. The information was confirmed by the developer during the special livestream, which was broadcast on the official channel on YouTube.
Leaks about 5-star Herta in Honkai: Star Rail have described her gameplay kit, showing her abilities as what seems like a main DPS in team comps.
The reveal of a definitive release date for the update indicates that there have not been delays in the planned content for the patch. Additionally, with a concrete release date for Version 2.7, it is very unlikely that the update will be postponed anytime soon – usually, when an update’s contents are delayed, HoYoverse also pushes back the related livestream presentation, even if before it is ever announced.
