Jennifer Garner and Mark Ruffalo share a humorous idea for a sequel to 13 Going on 30. 13 Going on 30 is a romantic comedy directed by Gary Winick, who also helmed Bride Wars and Letters to Juliet. The film was released in 2004 with Garner and Ruffalo as the romantic leads alongside Judy Greer and Andy Serkis. The plot sees Garner's Jenna Rink make a wish on her thirteenth birthday, only to wake up the next day as a 30-year-old woman.
13 Going on 30 was a success upon release, making $96 million worldwide off of a $37 million budget. It also faired reasonably well with critics while leaving an impression on young audiences, many of whom still cherish the film today. While some may compare the plot to Tom Hanks' Big, 13 Going on 30 delivered its own unique take on the idea, cementing moments in the minds of audiences, like dancing to Michael Jackson's Thriller.
