RHONJ: Kim D. Reveals Reason Jennifer & Dolores Are No Longer Friends
The Real Housewives of New Jersey stars Dolores Catania and Jennifer Aydin seemed to have a genuine friendship on the show, but former RHONJ friend Kim D. shared that Jennifer recently told Dolores that they aren’t friends anymore. Since Jennifer joined RHONJ in season 9, her blunt nature got her in hot water with other castmates, particularly Melissa Gorga and Jackie Goldschneider. However, Dolores always had Jennifer’s back and seemed to understand where Jennifer’s outbursts were coming from.
In the very first episode of RHONJ season 12, Jennifer was blindsided at Teresa Giudice’s pool party when Margaret Josephs revealed Jennifer’s husband Bill Aydin’s decade-old affair. Dolores was sympathetic to Jennifer but when Margaret later revealed that Jennifer was digging into Jackie’s husband Evan Goldschneider business, Dolores was no longer able to take Jennifer’s side. Still, Dolores lent Jennifer a sympathetic ear and gave her advice on dealing with Bill’s infidelity to move forward and heal.

Apparently, Jennifer didn’t feel like Dolores had her back enough on RHONJ. In a recent Behind the Velvet Rope podcast, Kim D. shared a phone conversation between Jennifer and Dolores that ended their friendship. Kim told host David Yontef that Jennifer called Dolores to tell her that while they would be friends on RHONJ, they were effectively no longer friends off the show. According to Kim, “Jen just said blatantly, ‘I will be your friend on the show but we are not friends off the show. I don’t feel you stuck up for me enough.’ That was the bottom line. That’s what she told Dolores.”
