With the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip announced for the world, we were waiting for brands to make big announcements regarding their 2023 flagship being the first phone with the chip. Oppo has already announced the Find X series with this chip and now, there are rumours of the iQOO 11 Pro launching in global markets. The phone is expected to launch in India in January 2023 and will debut the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip to the market as well.
Based on a report from GSMArena, it is said that the iQOO 11 Pro will make use of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, which is expected to offer better power efficiency and superior performance. The iQOO 11 Pro will also feature Vivo's V2 image processing chip for better low light photography experiencing.
Next is the design, which is said to retain the BMW M Motorsport livery on the back. The phone is also said to come with a 6.78-inch E6 AMOLED display and we expect the phone to feature the same ultrasonic fingerprint scanner we saw on the iQOO 9 Pro earlier this year. The phone will run on Android 13 out of the box.
Other than these, it was also said that the iQOO 11 Pro will feature a 200W fast wired charging solution. With a 4700mAh battery, iQOO could promise to fully charge the battery in under 20 minutes. Xiaomi already announced a similar 210W charging solution that promises a full charge in under 9 minutes.
What remains to be seen is the camera setup and the overall pricing of the device. The iQOO 11 Pro could feature Vivo's second best camera setup on a phone in India, and may also try to undercut the Apple iPhone 14, which it directly could compete with.
