Invincible fans really aren't happy about one of Omni-Man's interactions with Sindel in Mortal Kombat 1 where he says that he's going to turn her, Mileena, and Kitana into his "pets".
After months of waiting, Invincible's Omni-Man has finally joined Mortal Kombat 1 as the first fighter from the new Kombat Pack, with Homelander, Takeda, Quan-Chi, and Ermac all following over the next year. Although the return of J.K. Simmons as Nolan should be a reason for Invincible fans to celebrate, it seems that some aren't happy with how he's been characterised.
We might have only just gotten Omni-Man added to Mortal Kombat 1, but we already know when to expect the rest of the Kombat Pack thanks to some release windows shared by Warner Bros. last month.
Although most of Omni-Man's interactions with the Mortal Kombat crew have him acting like he does in the show and showing his Viltrumite pride above anything else, there's one in particular that has upset fans. If you fight Sindel as Omni-Man, one of the interactions between the two has him offering to turn her, Kitana, and Mileena into his "pets" if they surrender, something that she obviously doesn't react well to.
This is clearly meant to be a reference to a scene in the episode of the show's first season, where Mark goes up against Omni-Man and he claims that he saw his mother as more of a "pet" than a person. In the canon of the show and comic, this is just Nolan trying to convince himself that he doesn't love his wife and son and that's loyal to Viltrum above all, but the use of the phrase in Mortal Kombat 1 makes it seem like he's some kind of weirdo collecting women from the planets he conquers.
