The latest benchmarks of Intel's Core i9-14900K Flagship CPU have leaked within Cinebench 2024 & show a small gain over the Core i9-13900K.
The Intel Core i9-14900K has had no shortage of leaks since we have already seen various tests and fully reported on the specifications of this chip. The Intel Core i9-14900K is simply a refresh of the i9 13900K with a slight clock speed bump so we should expect mostly similar performance with slight benefits in applications that can utilize the higher clock speeds. However, higher clock speeds also result in higher power draw, requiring hefty cooling solutions as the Core i9-13900K itself is a hard chip to run under 90-100C.
Starting with the specs, the Intel Core i9-14900K CPU will feature 24 cores & 32 threads in an 8+16 configuration. The CPU will feature up to 36 MB of Smart Cache and a base TDP of 125W (253W PL2). It will feature clock speeds of 3.2 GHz at base & up to 6.0 GHz with a Thermal Velocity Boost. This will be a +200 MHz frequency jump over the Core i9-13900K and the same as the Core i9-13900KS. The CPU was recently spotted in retail with prices of $695 US which is a +15.8% hike over its predecessor but we shouldn't consider this the "Final" retail price yet.
The platform on which the CPU was tested featured an ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 HERO board, a Noctua NH-D15 CPU cooler, and running an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 GPU. The memory setup is equipped with four DDR5-5600 (48 GB) memory.
The Intel Core i9-14900K CPU was tested in the newly released Cinebench 2024 benchmark and scored 2161 points in single-core and 128 points in multi-core tests using the 253W PL2 profile. For comparison, we used our trusty Intel Core i9-13900KS and Core i9-13900K CPUs for comparison & you can see
