For two years, Spider-Man fans had nothing to go off of aside from a brief CGI teaser and a screenshot that was plastered all over marketing and community pages. You know the one, of Peter Parker and Miles Morales staring past the camera. Well, Insomniac has just shared a bunch of new screenshots... and then that one. Again. It knows what it's doing.
"We heard you've been hungry for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 screenshots," Insomniac tweeted, attaching nine photos. "Well, here you go!"

One fan replied, "this is the only screenshot of spider-man 2 we need i think".
Insomniac said, "You might be onto something".
Another fan added, "you know what you're doing", to which Insomniac simply replied with a dead-eyed smiling emoji. As dead-eyed as the two Spider-Men.
Granted, the photo is a little different. It has Marvel's 2023 trademark in the bottom right, so technically it's new if you really want to stretch the term. We've never seen it with "@ 2023 Marvel" in the corner. And frankly, I think that's exactly what it was missing - something about it just ties the entire picture together, flowing beautifully with the logo in the bottom left corner. Maybe next year we'll get another version with Insomniac's logo in the top right, and then PS5's logo in the top left a year after that.
Not everyone is so forgiving.
One look at the quote retweets and you'll either find plenty of fans playing along, or plenty begging Insomniac to stop. One fan even likened it to The Whale. It's a similar story - one screenshot of Brendan Frasier's character looking really sad has been plastered everywhere and turned into a meme, becoming synonymous with The Whale to the point where
