On the Snitcher's Discord, one community member asked prominent horror leaker DuskGolem if they know when Resident Evil 9 is launching, to which they replied, "2025, I'll say that much, though [it will] probably be announced next year."
These claims line up with previous Resident Evil release dates. Biohazard launched in 2017, and two years later, Resident Evil 2 Remake launched. Village launched two years after that in 2021, followed by Resident Evil 4 Remake in 2023. This would put Resident Evil 9 two years from now, which also follows the pattern of releasing a new title, a remake, and then a new title.

On the Gaming Leaks and Rumours subreddit, some speculate that it might be a new Monster Hunter, which is rumoured to be appearing at The Game Awards, while others hope that it's a Dino Crisis remake.
