Mario fans on PC unite as a modder has released a brand-new Super Mario 64 PC mod that adds a random level generator to the game.
Created by modder 'TwilightPB', the 'Infinite Mario 64' mod allows players to play Nintendo's 1996 classic 'forever'. As expected, the mod adds infinite random levels to Mario 64, and an early version of the mod has been made available for download for free.
In order to use this mod, those interested will need to own a copy of Mario 64 on the Nintendo 64 and get an unmodified copy of the Super Mario 64 NTSC ROM. Installation instructions on how to get this mod working can be found here. It's a really interesting mod that will surely be appreciated by Mario fans. Released in 1996 for the Nintendo 64, Mario 64 was the first 3D entry in Nintendo's popular Mario franchise. Many consider the game to be one of the most influential and best games ever created.
