Each week, we scour the internet for all things indie MMO-related, so you don’t have to. This week was pretty quiet, with the only major news being Palia’s move from Closed Beta to Open Beta. In other news, Project Gorgon got a new update, Mad World pulled out the banhammer to thwart script and macro users, and Into the Echo spun up its interactive lore site. Plenty of other stuff is also going on, so let’s quit wasting time and get started with this week’s Indie MMO Spotlight.
Aether Story’s end-of-the-month devblog is out, and this edition covers professions. From brewing to scribe to just plain old fishing, Aether Story has plenty to keep you busy when you aren’t killing mobs.
Anvil Empires' next Pre-Alpha Minor Test will start on Wednesday, August 9th. The test will have two sessions, the first on Wednesday at 1PM ET, and the second on Thursday at 1PM ET.
Clockwork Labs just released SpacetimeDB , the engine behind BitCraft , to GitHub. And this week’s Twitter (I refuse to call it X) post is pushing up daisies.

From August 18th until August 21st, portals in the main hubs will take you to event areas filled with mobs just waiting to be slaughtered for some quick XP and PXP.
Swarm events have been put on hold while the dev team goes back to the drawing board to rework the event.
Patch 2.5 was released on Friday. The patch notes are filled with bug fixes and balance changes.
Update 370 brings a new group event — Dungeon. The Technology Laboratory has also been unlocked for Guild Castles.
