iCarly season 2 continues to echo elements from the original show, including its longest-running love-story plot line. Just over a year after audiences rediscovered their favorite characters now as adults, the iCarly revival is back for season 2. As in season 1, iCarly’s core characters reunite for the Paramount+ series, the only exception being Jennette McCurdy's Sam.
With the same style of humor from the original show but now reimagined for a grownup audience, the iCarly revival saw Carly returning to the Bushwell Plaza now with a new roommate, Harper. iCarly season 2 continues to show the new challenges an influencer has to face in this era of social media, which are very different from when Carly’s first started her web show. Despite the changes in the world, some very old dramas continue to be part of iCarly.

iCarly season 2’s premiere brought the relationship between Freddie and Carly, a storyline that iCarly has been developing since the beginning of the original show, back into the spotlight. Friends and co-workers for a long time, Carly and Freddie have always seemed close to becoming a couple. However, it wasn't until the end of the original series that the couple known as «Creddie», a name given by the show itself, really revealed their feelings. After iCarly’s revival season 1 revealed that Carly and Freddie had remained friends only, it looked like the matter had finally been resolved. However, iCarly season 2 is showing that this is not quite the case.
