The Walking Dead season 11, episode 16 forces the main survivors to live on the road again, which could see a repeat of a Rick Grimes twist from season 4. The Walking Dead season 11, part 2 finale cements Lance Hornsby as the show's main antagonist as he takes over Oceanside, Alexandria, and The Hilltop. Hornsby's role in the show is far greater than his comic book counterpart and is one of several deviations from Robert Kirkman's source material. The main change is the absence of Andrew Lincoln's Rick Grimes, who left the show in season 9 (although he is confirmed to be appearing in spinoff movies and perhaps The Walking Dead's grand finale).
Although Rick Grimes is the main protagonist in The Walking Dead universe, there were moments when he had to resort to not-so heroic methods. Nobody in The Walking Dead can keep their hands clean but the show excels when it blurs the lines between good and evil, questioning the morality of the main cast. While Alexandria's attacks on Savior bases in The Walking Dead season 6 is a moment when the main survivors become the hunters, not the prey, the way Rick deals with Joe's group in season 4 is his real act of terror and barbarism. When faced with a do-or-die moment, Rick bites into Joe's neck to kill him.
