The upcoming back-half of Fear the Walking Dead season 7 will be defined by the battle raged against Victor Strand (Colman Domingo) and his community. The series debuted in 2015 as a prequel spin-off of the long-running zombie horror drama The Walking Dead. It focused on the blended family of Madison Clark (Kim Dickens) and Travis Manawa (Cliff Curtis) as they struggled to survive the initial zombie outbreak and its immediate aftermath. They were soon joined by the mysterious and cunning Victor Strand who helped the family escape from Los Angeles. Eventually, the show crossed over with the original series in Fear The Walking Dead season 4 following the alleged death of Madison Clark and the arrival of The Walking Dead's Morgan Jones (Lennie James).
The first half of Fear The Walking Dead season 7 told the stories of the survivors of Morgan's group after they were scattered following the nuclear explosion caused by Teddy Maddox (John Glover), a fanatical zealot that created an underground community and locked Madison's daughter Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) in a bunker. Meanwhile, Strand has taken over an office high-rise called The Tower and runs it with an iron fist to keep his community of hard-earners safe. In the mid-season finale, Alicia has escaped the bunker as the leader of Teddy's cultists and has vowed to wage war on Strand and his militia of Rangers.
