Warning! Spoilers ahead for The Flight Attendant season 2.
Cassie is the biggest failure of The Flight Attendant season 2. The Kaley Cuoco-led and produced HBO Max series continues after its brilliant first year. Unlike the critically-acclaimed The Flight Attendant season 1, its sophomore year is bogged down with a few issues, the biggest of which is its depiction of Cassie.
Picking up a year after The Flight Attendant season 1 finale, the dark comedy based on the 2018 novel of the same name by Chris Bohjalian continues to follow its titular character. Cassie has moved to Los Angeles from New York, where she has been living a healthier life. She has taken her road to sobriety more seriously and is thriving as an Imperial Atlantic Airlines flight attendant. However, her life turns into shambles again after discovering that someone is trying to impersonate her. Couple that with her insistence on meddling with Megan's (Rosie Perez) own issues, and things just start to spin out of control for her.

Although compelling, The Flight Attendant season 2's central mystery isn't as gripping as season 1's. It also isn't as bad, considering that the crime that Cassie is being framed for isn't as explicit as waking up beside a dead person. Unfortunately, she is handling the situation so badly that she is inadvertently making it worse, and it's getting more difficult to root for her because of this. In The Flight Attendant season 1, it was easy to root for her because she was unceremoniously roped into the Alex Sokolov's (Michael Huisman) problems.
