ISRO is launching another satellite mission later this month and this could benefit subscribers of DTH TV subscribers largely. The satellite mission, called the GSAT-24, is a communication satellite and will be launched by Arianespace from Kourou in French Guiana on June 22. The GSAT-24 satellite completed its assembly, integration, and the environmental test under the PSR (Pre-Shipment Review) committee on May 2. Once that was completed, the satellite and all its allied equipment were then shipped to Kourou, French Guiana on May 18 using C-17 Globemaster aircraft, said a PTI report. As part of the launch procedures, the satellite is presently undergoing health/performance checks at cleanroom facilities in French Guiana, said ISRO.
