A special item might drop when exploring the regions of the Beta called the Tower Key, which cannot be salvaged and remains mysterious as players try to figure out how to use it. Throughout the various dungeons, challenges, or events seen in the Fractured Peaks, it should come as no surprise to players that an item like the Tower Key holds some purpose. Tied to secrets of Act 1, this item references a specific location that players must find to unlock new secrets and loot.
The Tower Key cannot be salvaged or sold, meaning players need to keep it in their inventory to use it properly. The key claims that it must be used to unlock an unknown area called the Ritual Tower, described as being «bound» to this location as an area item. Players have to finish the Prologue after joining the Beta and reach Kyovashad for the first time to have the Tower Key drop from a random ground loot drop from around the world. Similarly to other pieces of loot, players will have to traverse sections of the Beta through waypoints to reset some ground loot spots to increase their chances of getting the Tower Key.

Unfortunately, the location of the Ritual Tower remains unknown in the Beta, as no player has been able to find this fabled landmark. Likely resembling a site in Sanctuary akin to the Dry Steppes, Hawezar, Kehjistand, or Scosglen, the Ritual Tower may be restricted from the early access portion of the game. Another reason for the Ritual Tower's absence could be a glitch or bug that may be fixed going into the Open Beta during the weekend of March 24th, 2023. Either way, players, as of this time of writing, will have no way of actually using the Tower Key through 's Beta
