The many treasures and items you collect in can quickly surpass your character's max storage, so you need to find ways to unlock more space. Having additional places to put materials at your base and in your inventory allows you to organize abundant resources. You will need to level up by completing different activities around the world to get the upgrades needed to expand your storage.
Different storage items can only be crafted when you gain Technology Points from leveling up. Progressing through Technology Trees in may unlock chests or other base structures capable of holding many different resources at a time. The two ways to get more storage space in are to improve your Weight stat when you level up and to construct container items at your base.
