Season of Discovery has introduced a new Rune Engraving system, and with it comes new roles to several Classes: Warlocks, Rogues and Shamans can Tank, and Mages can Heal! The Runes required to pull this off have all been discovered, and this article will cover how to unlock each rune.

How to Unlock New Class Role Runes in Season of Discovery
Below you will find each Tanking / Healing Rune listed for each Class, together with how it is unlocked.
Warlock Tank
There are three Runes that will allow a Warlock to tank:
Rune
Slot
Master Channeler
Chest
Demonic Grace
Legs
Metamorphosis
Gloves
And here is how each Rune is unlocked:
Master Channeler Unlock
There are several ways to unlock this Rune, and it all depends on where you choose to go for your second leveling zone.
- Darkshore: Drops from Dark Strand Fanatic in Darkshore.
- Loch Modan: Buy Malevolent Pie from Greishan Ironstove in Loch Modan (27.3, 61.9). Eat it and he will give you the rune.
- The Barrens: Siphon your own health away with Health Funnel while standing on the Altar of Thorns in the Barrens. Upon reaching 0 health, the player will be healed to full and granted the rune.
- Silverpine Forest: Cast Curse of Recklessness on and defeat the Level 19 Sadistic Fiend inside a cave at 56,45 in eastern Silverpine Forest.
Demonic Grace Unlock
There is some mysterious wording in the items used to unlock this Rune. This is exactly what we love about Season of Discovery.
