Hunter players spotted a tamable Stormrook pet in The War Within, Aradan, hidden inside a War Within dungeon. After a blue post earlier this week confirmed thatAradan was in fact tamable right now — players just had not figured out how to do it, the folks at the WoW Secret Finding Discord spent the rest of the week looking on how to tame the stormrook.
We're happy to announce the search is finally over! Learn how to tame Aradan in this post.
Aradan is found in the Rookery dungeon. After killing the first boss, Kyrioss, you drop down to the inside portion of Storm's Watch. As you fall, you usually go down the corridor on the right to continue your progress through the instance, but if you go to the left instead (going where Stormrider Vokmar came from), you will go up a flight of stairs and end on the outside area of Storm's Watch.
Once you find the outside area of Storm's Watch, take a left (facing north), and you will find Aradan flying in circles just out of reach, almost as if looking for something.
The location where Aradan is flying around in the Rookery is the clue as to how you can tame him! Some diving is necessary to find him. West of the Storm's Watch area, in a patch of underwater area that does not have the Fatigue bar, you will be able to dive — And on the bottom of the ocean, you will find a Void-Scarred Stormhammer. Looting it will give you a Void-Scarred Stormhammer, used to tame Aradan!
Once you have the hammer, return to the Rookery dungeon, approach the cliff where Aradan is flying nearby and use your Void-Scarred Stormhammer while targeting the stormrook — Aradan will recognize the hammer and fly down to you, allowing you to tame him!
Aradan is a match to the Algarian Stormrider mount from
