Power Inheritance, also referred to as «Essence Inheritance» in Diablo Immortal, is how adventurers take the extracted Essence from a Legendary gear piece and place it into another. For instance, suppose players desire to have a Rain of Vengeance duration buff instead of Fog of War Legendary for their chest piece. In that case, they can extract the Rain of Vengeance buff from an item possessing the attribute in Diablo Immortal and then imbue it into their current chest piece, allowing the gear to «Inherit» the Legendary power.
To perform Essence Inheritance in Diablo Immortal, adventurers must first have two items of the same type. After all, it is impossible to have a helmet Inherit the attribute power of a crossbow or hammer. Furthermore, both weapons or armor pieces must be Legendary gear. Weapons and armor that do not possess a Legendary attribute cannot Inherit Essences. Legendary equipment can be acquired in various ways, including treasure chests, raid boss drops, Elder Rift runs, and many more in-game activities. However, much of the Legendary loot is dependent on RNG, meaning it may take a while before players find an attribute they want their gear to Inherit.

Nonetheless, once the two conditions above have been met, Diablo Immortal players can perform Legendary power Inheritance by speaking with Zamina, an NPC who is capable of conducting Essence Transfer. She is located near the Rakkis Plaza in Westmarch, Diablo Immortal's hub area. Speak with her and choose the second option within her shop screen to begin the Inheritance process.
