Among the many mysteries of Netflix's adaptation of The Witcher the question of how long Witchers live is a major consideration. The show is based on a Polish-language fantasy novel series by Andrzej Sapkowski, as well as the critically lauded video games by developer CD Projekt RED. The Witcher show stars Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia. Witchers have supernatural abilities for monster and beast hunting like enhanced strength, senses, agility, and stamina, as well as the ability to cast spells. They also age slowly, which means a Witcher can be over a century old despite appearing much younger.

Rather tragically, Witchers are trained as children, and only around 30 or 40% of them survive the grueling training ordeals different Witcher schools put them through. It's in this process that powers like slow aging develop.
