It's been almost a year since House of the Dead: Remake was announced at the Nintendo Indie World Showcase last April, but Forever Entertainment has finally broken its silence with the best type of news. House of the Dead: Remake will arrive on the Nintendo Switch on April 7.
Promising the same upgrades as given to their earlier remake of the legendary rail shooter Panzer Dragoon, House of the Dead: Remake will feature the same enhanced graphics, cutscenes, animations, and audio all ripped from the original arcade version of the game. Expect smooth framerates and revamped textures so House of the Dead doesn't look quite as pixelated as its arcade roots.

Originally released by Sega in 1997, House of the Dead revolutionized the light gun rail shooter and influenced the zombie genre in both video games and movies. The game went on to sell thousands of arcade cabinets and became a staple of arcades around the globe,
In House of the Dead, you play as special agents Thomas Rogan and "G" as they invade the home of mad scientist Dr. Curien with both guns blazing. The remake will feature the same rail shooter gameplay as the original and also single or local two-player modes. The game also features the same multiple endings, depending on the player's actions.
To get House of the Dead up to modern standards, it will also feature a photo mode, achievements, an armory with unlockable weapons so you don't have to rely on drops all the time, a new "horde" mode, and a gallery of defeated enemies and bosses.
