A religious zealot and cult leader who worships the god Ammit, Hawke's Arthur Harrow is a dark figure set to be a direct opposing force of the Khonshu-empowered Moon Knight. Inspired by the Nobel Prize-winning scientist-turned twisted mad doctor and operative of think-tank O.M.N.I.U.M first introduced in Alan Zelenez's second volume ofMoon Knight in 1985, the Disney+ incarnation of Harrow differs from his comic counterpart, as rather than a scientist conducting cruel experiments, the MCU's Harrow leans into being a more mystical figure, with Hawke revealing a number of surprising historical inspirations, from occult leaders, psychiatrists, and even CEOs. With a character inspired by a number of sources in one of the MCU's most unique and experimental series, some might assume that Marvel would have tight control over the series' so that it fits in line with their other work, yet Hawke has stated that it wasn't the case.
