As you set off into Horizon Forbidden West, you will be warned of and introduced to the Tenakth. These tribes make their home in the Forbidden West, and are split into multiple clans across the map.

You might be wondering who they are, and are they really as bad as their reputation holds? Here’s what you need to know about the clans of the Forbidden West.
This will contain minor spoilers for Horizon Forbidden West, so read at your own discretion.
At the center of the map is The Memorial Grove. This is an old museum within an aircraft facility of the old world. Amongst the ruins, scattered and corrupted terminals stutter words on the air force teams from before. The terminals are not clear, but the Tenakth have focused themselves on them.
In the fragments of speech, they hear about the “10” and a great battle they overcame. These Ten would attack from the skies and not show fear in the face of battle. As such, this site is considered sacred by the Tenakth, and they often tell each other to "go on the Wings of the Ten"
The Tenakth follow suit and hold these tales close to their culture. Their Arena - located in The Memorial Grove - has them test their might in battle, and they leap from the platforms above. This is to follow the Ten, coming from the sky into battle and overcoming their enemies.
The Arena here is where the Tenakth holds the Kulrut - an event in which warriors battle against many machines and fight for survival. Those who survive will become trusted guards and warriors of the Chief - known as Marshals.
