Horizon Forbidden West is probably going to get some DLC in the near future. This isn't too surprising, given how Horizon Zero Dawn eventually received its Frozen Wilds expansion, but it is surprising how we're finding out about likely DLC coming to Forbidden West.
A new video from the VSC Rating Board, the UK governing body that determines age ratings for video games (among other things), mentions that Horizon Forbidden West has an in-game storefront that can be used to purchase DLC expansions. Those who actually own the game know that no such storefront exists, so this statement sounds awfully peculiar.

Head on over to read the full PEGI rating (with thanks to PushSquare) and you'll find mention of DLC expansions yet again. “This game offers players the opportunity to connect to their storefront, where they can purchase subsequent DLC expansions, which some parents or carers may want to be aware of. Parents, carers, or other responsible adults should check to see what is being offered before making any purchase on behalf of a child. It should be noted that the game can still be played without the need to purchase such items," the rating reads.
So, what might this DLC be and when might we get it? That we don't know. Horizon Zero Dawn got The Frozen Wilds in December 2017, roughly 10 months after the game's initial release, so it seems unlikely for Forbidden West to receive its DLC until around the same time.
