Horizon Forbidden West: Seeds of Rebellion board game on the way
destructoid.comThe Horizon franchise has expanded past video games to feature comics as well as an upcoming television series. In 2020, it received a board game from Steamforged Games titled Horizon Zero Dawn: The Board Game. Another tabletop board game from Steamforged is on the way, and this one is titled Horizon Forbidden West: Seeds of Rebellion.
Seeds of Rebellion is a prequel taking place before the events of Horizon Forbidden West but after Horizon Zero Dawn. Steamforged worked closely with Guerrilla Games to create an authentic story within the game’s canon.
We don’t have too many details on the gameplay just yet, although Steamforged has stated that it can be played by 1 to 4 players, and it is designed to deliver a “fully cooperative, narrative-driventabletop experience.”
Discord is stirring among the Tenakth clans. It’s up to you and your fellow Marshals to figure out what’s going on and stop the rebellion before chaos erupts. During your campaign, you’ll face off against machines, but you’ll also have the chance to earn powerful equipment to give you a fighting chance.
The board game hits Kickstarter on November 21. Steamforged also has an Elden Ring board game set to release in 2024.
