Tremortusks are among the largest combat class machine enemies that players need to know how to defeat in Horizon Forbidden West. While Tremortusks are slower than most enemies in the game, their strengths stem from the multiple ranged weapon systems across their body in addition to thick armor. Additionally, the mammoth-like creature has four massive tusks that can seriously injure players who are too reckless in combat, even if they master Aloy's new Valor Surge abilities in Horizon Forbidden West.
As players continue their journey through Horizon Forbidden West, they'll encounter Tremortusks on their own in the wild or under the control of the Regalla Rebels. Led by Regalla herself, the Rebels are a major antagonist in Horizon Forbidden West that outfit Tremortusks in the style of traditional war elephants. This allows them to place several archers atop the machine, posing an even greater threat to Aloy.

When Aloy is attacked by Tremortusks, they may try to circle around her and fire their massive cannons located on the sides of their bodies. Furthermore, these cannons can target Aloy even if she manages to get fully behind the metal elephant. Additionally, the mammoth-like machines have two laser cannons that fire in front of their path, forcing players to constantly remain ahead of Tremortusks as they try to beat them in Horizon Forbidden West.
