Developer Blackbird Interactive and publisher Gearbox have released a blog post revealing the system requirements for Homeworld 3. The third installment of the popular sci-fi space RTS has pretty generous minimum requirements. For those looking to enable raytracing, Homeworld 3 will understandably require a beefier machine.
Here are the system requirements for Homeworld 3 on PC:
The minimum, recommended, and arguably even high requirements are quite minimal. All three even alow for an Intel ARC discrete GPU, requiring only 8GB of VRAM. All presets except for minimum require 16GB of RAM, which is pretty standard at this point. Looking over the requirements, it seems Homeworld 3 will be more CPU-reliant as opposed to GPU, which is par for the course for RTS titles. Even though Homeworld 3 is looking beautiful, the true marvel is having a ton of ships on the screen engaged in battle all at once.
It looks like the game filesize will be around 40GB, which unlike some recent titles, can apparently be played on an HDD and does not required an SSD.
Homeworld 3 releases on PC in February 2024.
