Avalanche Software released a new Hogwarts Legacy patch for PC and consoles, delivering a host of improvements, chiefly to ray tracing performance and visuals.
This Hogwarts Legacy patch also updated facial animations, blurred texture, and LOD pop-in issues during cinematics. Additionally, PC users with a 32:9 SuperUltrawide display will be happy to know that the skybox issue has been resolved. There are also a lot of bug and crash fixes, as you can read in the full changelog. On PC, the Hogwarts Legacy patch weighs a little over 500MB.
While Avalanche Software continues to improve the game with title updates, publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is certainly very happy with the commercial performance. Yesterday, we covered the news that Hogwarts Legacy had the most successful launch month in Europe out of any games except for FIFA titles. On the other hand, we have to wonder what that means for DLC. The developers said shortly after the game's launch that there were no such plans. Still, after Hogwarts Legacy sold over 12 million units in two weeks, Warner Bros. Interactive might nudge Avalanche Software in the opposite direction, especially since there are even bigger audiences on the way with the game scheduled to hit PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on May 5th (after a one-month delay) and Nintendo Switch on July 25th.
On PC, Hogwarts Legacy players can also enjoy a wealth of mods that can do anything from improving visuals or performance to making gameplay easier or harder, adding NPC companions, customizing the camera, and much more.
