Hideo Kojima: Connected Worlds documentary announced
PlayStation and Kojima Productions have announced an upcoming documentary called Hideo Kojima: Connected Worlds.
Featuring contributions from the likes of Guillermo del Toro and George Miller, it promises to take viewers “on a journey into the creative mind” of the famed Japanese game designer.
The documentary is coming soon, according to its official trailer, which is viewable below.

“Widely regarded as the first auteur of video games, this visually captivating documentary gives a rare insight into Hideo Kojima’s creative process as he launches his own independent studio,” according to the description accompanying the trailer.
Kojima started his career in 1986 at Konami, where he designed Metal Gear (1987) for the MSX2, laying the foundation for the stealth genre of video games.
He went on to spend more than 30 years at Konami, producing several acclaimed Metal Gear Solid games, as well as mech title Zone of the Enders, plus adventure games Snatcher (1988) and Policenauts (1994).
Kojima founded Kojima Productions in 2005, under the control of Konami. After splitting from Konami in 2015 he reformed Kojima Productions as an independent studio, backed by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
The studio’s debut game was 2019’s Death Stranding. Kojima Productions is currently working on Death Stranding 2 and a mystery cloud project with Xbox, which could be a horror title called Overdose.
