Mortal Kombat 1's release date of 19th September is on the horizon, which might still be too far off for some. Thankfully, players that can't wait actually have some avenues for relief on hand, with a beta coming for those who have pre-ordered, in addition to a major stress test being planned.
The Mortal Kombat 1 Online Stress test will require prospective players to sign up here (a WB account is required). According to the FAQ, WB will confirm specific timing «at a later date.» Further, the company stresses that this is not, in fact, a beta but a «true stress test».
Regardless, PS5 players will be able to take part, PlayStation Plus will not be required. Further, The test won't support cross-platform play either and will remain separate from any pre-order bonuses or access included in either the Premium or Kollector's Editions. Finally, only players in North America, Latin America, Brazil, and Europe will be eligible.
