While the Standard Edition includes everything needed to enjoy the island with Hello Kitty and her friends, the Deluxe Edition offers players a way to experience everything they missed out on over the past two years.
Since has been receiving steady updates since its Apple Arcade release in 2023, there have been numerous event exclusives that anyone joining now will have missed out on. To make up for this, the Deluxe version will include over 300 special items, including legacy items from past events, which has caused some controversy among players.
Since the actual story content is no different between the two versions, the deluxe version does not include any DLC. The only deciding factor between the Standard and Deluxe versions is whether players want additional items or not. For mobile players making the jump to Switch or PC, this means that even though you'll be forced to start over, you won't have to lose all the items you may have put in time and effort to obtain.
Since launching last July, Hello Kitty Island Adventure has grown immensely, but the adventure simulation game has a lot more in the works for fans.
Most importantly, however, is that new players who didn't have access to until now will not have to just accept that they've missed out on these exclusive items. These exclusives include over 300 cosmetic, clothing, and furniture items from the Spooky Celebration, Luck & Lantern, Under The Sea, and more. While there will still be plenty of events to come, it's nice that players are being given the option to have these items if they would like them.
