Though some of Studio Wildcard's new practices with the franchise have been controversial, the large profits the game has brought in have more than justified their decisions from a business standpoint.
's first crossover felt like a missed opportunity. The cosmetics created were high-quality, but they did little outside of changing the look. Understandably, small packs wouldn't undergo large-scale changes, but given the scale of the franchise being brought into, it feels like more could have been done.
Though surprisingly early, Wave 2 of the collaboration will be released on February 6, 2025 (via the official website). This is likely to capitalize on the recent release of the DLC, as most of the cosmetics seemed tuned to it. Given these additions, some predictions thought this wave would be closer to the release of. Regardless, the earlier release of wave 2 seems like a good time to fill in the small gaps that 's new roadmap has.
There is only one image to go on currently, but it looks like wave 2 will be largely similar to wave 1. Based on this image, it will include at least three weapon skins and six new player skins. The player skins include: Alpha 5, Rita Repulsa, Green Ranger, White Ranger, Lord Zedd, and Putty.
Zord-wise, wave 2 will add the Green Dragonzord, White Tigerzord, and Titanus. Though there has been no confirmation of what creatures will receive these skins, they can be inferred based on the type of creature they are, similar to wave 1. The last piece is likely to be the biggest hit, with a Megazord skin likely for the Mek. This is something more appropriate for the scale of the collaboration, giving players a true sense of the power fantasy.
