It’s time for a big balance patch for Helldivers 2 with update 1.000.400. Will Arrowhead manage to walk the tightrope of shifting the game’s weapon, Strategem and enemy power around? Or will the community hate it merely for the fact that things have changed and the go-to loadouts aren’t quite as effective anymore?
In an accompanying explainer post, Arrowhead CCO Johan Pilestedt said, “First, I want to thank you, the community, for clearly voicing your opinions and concerns for the balance and fun of the game. […] With these balance changes we wanted to buff up some of the weaker stratagems to make them more viable and add more opportunity for variety in loadouts. We also changed a few to make them more consistent, but the goal was to keep a similar or higher power level.”
This means that various Sentry turrets are getting improvements to power and durability, orbital strikes are being made better for moving targets, while the Eruptor’s shrapnel removal is being compensated for with higher damage.
There’s also some functional changes, so supply lines and attack origins are now visible in the Galactic War, and you can create invite-only lobbies.
