Helldivers 2 has been out for a little while now, and players are constantly calling for heavier weaponry in their fight against the forces of evil. You don't get much heavier than full-blown mechs, and developer Arrowhead Game Studios has assured fans that they're on the way once the game's server issues are sorted out. In fact, they may be dropping into the fight a lot sooner than we thought, judging from some leaked footage of the machines in action.

In the replies to the video, Fozzye18 explains that while the video only shows off one mech, they were given the opportunity to try out another, equipped with a machine gun, before their game crashed and they could no longer access mechs at all. Fozzye18 also explains that this wasn't actually footage of their game, as they had simply accessed the game of another player using currently unreleased weaponry and features.

Of course, we don't have any footage of these weapons and features at the moment, so take all of this with a pinch of salt, but it's clear that Fozzye18 did manage to access unreleased weaponry from the footage shown off.
Hopefully, these new weapons will drop sooner rather than later too, as they'll be needed in the battle to retake Malevelon Creek, better known to many fans as "Robot Vietnam". The planet finally fell into the hands of the Automatons last night, following weeks of intense fighting, and fans
