Grounded is leaving Xbox Game Preview this September.
After over two years in early access, Xbox confirmed that Grounded will be leaving game preview and seeing its full release in September. This includes the reveal of how the characters got shrunk and put into the yard, as well as revealing who put them there.

Some of the new features coming to Grounded as it leaves game preview include new armour and weapon recipes and a new giant mantis enemy for players to take on. There also seems to be some kind of new combat arena set in the laboratory, which could possibly be how the player finishes the story.
The official trailer description for the final release of Grounded reads, "Grounded is preparing to leave Game Preview this September as it launches its full release. Find out how the teens got into the yard and the mad scientist behind it in the fully playable campaign – all of which can be experienced alone or with a group of friends! New armor recipes, new weapon recipes, and the giant Mantis await players in this upcoming update.
Grounded originally launched in early access back in 2020, where it launched with a limited number of features to give players a taste of what it's about. Since then it's had several big updates adding new creatures, new things to craft, and fan-requested features such as being able to sit down on chairs.
