A brand-new trailer for Digimon Survive shows off a dark and scary survival experience while revealing the game's release date. The unique new Digimon title promises to put an entirely original spin on virtual pets by taking players to a mysterious and creepy world haunted by horrific monsters. A new Digimon Survive trailer premiered earlier this year following numerous delays, and now the project's release date has finally been unveiled.
First announced back in 2018, Digimon Survive will adapt the virtual pet series into a visual novel with survival and role-play elements. The game's plot will reportedly follow a group of students who attend a historical camp during spring break. While the series is known for its digital monsters, Digimon Survive will see the group of youngsters attacked by truly horrific and monstrous creatures as they are pulled into a foggy supernatural world. The title was originally developed by Witchcraft, but since its inception the game has transitioned to developer Hyde instead. Publisher Bandai Namco delayed Digimon Survivein 2020, but fans will finally get their hands on the game this year.
