The home renovation simulator House Flipper serves as a surprise addition to Xbox Game Pass for the month of July. First released back in 2018, the unique indie game lets players fix up properties in order to resell them and turn a profit. Microsoft seems determined to expand Xbox Game Pass over the summer, and House Flipper is the newest game to arrive on the digital distribution platform.
As the name implies, House Flipper puts players in the shoes of a home renovator who purchases dilapidated buildings and fixes them up to resell for a profit. Played from a first-person perspective, the title lets players perform various renovation tasks like cleaning, painting, demolishing walls and installing new fixtures. House Flipper lets players personalize each home to their liking, too, adding a level of creativity on top of their capitalist mission. The indie game was praised upon release back in 2018, though some reviews questioned its long-term replayability. Over time developer Frozen District has expanded the title through post-launch content, with a House Flipper: Pets DLC letting players adopt and care for their own animal companions.

As announced via Xbox Wire, the home renovation simulator House Flipper is now available on Xbox Game Pass. By paying for the gaming subscription service, Xbox gamers get unlimited access to the unique indie title alongside a large library of other hit games. House Flipper is also available to play via the Xbox Cloud Gaming service, which is currently in a beta state.
