Green Lanterns Get Their Perfect Dog Matches in Adorable Fan Art
Some amazingly cute fan art of the Green Lantern Corps has reinterpreted six of the Earth-based officers as various dog breeds. Not only that but artist Youko has picked the absolute perfect dog for each member of the illustrious organization.
The legacy of Green Lantern may have started with a single flame, but since Hal Jordan first became a member of the interstellar law keeping force, others have followed his lead. While the Corps generally only assigns two Lanterns per sector, Earth just has an endless supply of heroes capable of imagination and willpower. No matter how they join the Green Lantern Corps, every officer from Simon Baz to John Stewart has shown the grit and determination needed to wield a Green Lantern Power Ring. With more Green Lanterns from Earth than ever before, the DC Universe has never shined brighter.

And one fan is showing just how radically different each Lantern is in an exciting new piece of fan art that presents six Earth members of the Corps as dogs. Artist Youko posted their work on Twitter with the phrase "Green Lantern Dogs" along with a few correlating emojis. If it weren't obvious which Green Lantern Corps members were which dogs, Youko helpfully labels each dog along with which breed they've chosen to for each hero. Simon Baz is a stalwart Rottweiler that wears the character's unique uniform. Jessica Cruz is an Afghan Hound with long tresses similar to her human counterpart. The ever confident Hal Jordan is a Husky. Kyle Rayner is a scrappy little Shiba Inu. Guy Gardner is expertly portrayed as a grinning Bulldog with his trademark bowl cut hairstyle. And John Stewart is a vigilant Doberman.
