Of course, we’re not any closer to finding out just when that fabled Grand Theft Auto 6 title will actually make its way out into the marketplace. With Grand Theft Auto V setting the bar incredibly high for Rockstar Games, it’s likely that the studio is throwing even more content into this upcoming installment.
But if one industry insider is to be believed, this content might get cut back. Tez2 is a reliable industry insider and has shared Rockstar Games news in the past. Now the industry insider suggests that the development team is looking to cut back on the content they initially planned. We’re not told what content might be on the chopping block. However, the studio seems keen on getting Grand Theft Auto 6 out into the marketplace by the holiday season of 2024. If that’s the case, then there might be too much on their plate to ensure they make the new intended release window.
The industry insider claims that there are some suggestions for cutting back on the content to get the game out. Then they could continue working on this cut content to be added to the game in the form of DLC. Of course, that’s if the studio wants to meet the holiday 2024 launch window, as it could very well see the game end up being delayed to 2025.
