A new Atomic Heart update introduces a highly requested FOV slider to the Steam FPS game, along with disabling mouse acceleration on PC. Atomic Heart patch 1.3.4 also fixes a bug causing achievement progress to be lost, improves the Nora storage menus on ultrawide monitors, and resolves a number of other minor issues. The devs also note that official Atomic Heart Steam Deck compatibility is in the works.
The prior lack of Atomic Heart FOV settings caused many players to avoid or stop playing the shooter, as the key accessibility tool is used by many to alleviate potential motion sickness. Thankfully, you’ll now be able to change FOV in Atomic Heart, so if you’ve been holding off for that reason then now is the time to jump back in.
The Atomic Heart 1.3.4 patch notes also include the disabling of mouse acceleration. This feature is generally not preferred by PC players while playing games, as it causes inconsistent movement speeds while aiming with a mouse. If you’re playing on a widescreen monitor at 16:10 or ultrawide 21:9 settings, you’ll be pleased to know that the NORA storage UI has been improved on those resolutions when interacting with the frisky fridge.
