Director James Gunn debunks rumors about the depiction of Adam Warlock in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Following his recent work in the DCEU with The Suicide Squad and the HBO Max series, Peacemaker, the filmmaker returns to the MCU to finish his cosmic trilogy. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is set to wrap up the overarching narrative of the beloved rag-tag heroes that started in 2014 when they first joined the franchise.
Plot details for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 are still being kept under wraps, with no official looks yet revealed for the film. That's understandable considering that the threequel isn't due to premiere until May of 2023, while Marvel Studios are focusing on other projects on their slate. Gunn, on the other hand, has been busy working on the blockbuster's post-production, and while he hasn't revealed any spoiler specifics, the director has consistently offered updates for fans on theGOTG 3 process. Gunn is active on social media, and often takes to Twitter to debunk (or confirm) casting/production rumors to save the film from being wrapped up in false narratives.

Now, Gunn's latest Twitter post squashes the rumor about Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3's iteration of Adam Warlock. According to the original claim, Will Poulter's upcoming character in the threequel won't be wearing his signature blue and red costume, or his forehead gem, as seen in Marvel Comics. The original post about the speculation has since been deleted, but user @YorkshireToon was able to take a screenshot of it. Check out his and Gunn's original tweets below:
