I refuse to block anyone, not because I’ll miss reading their posts but because everyone is entitled to their opinions, regardless of how idiotic they may be. I’d vote with removing the option to block if it was a possibility.

@colonelkilgore Same here! I am against self-moderation and the creation of «safe» bubbles. If someone is particularly nasty the mods could always ban the person permanently.
And that happens extremely rarely.
@antdickens I truly don't know how this helps people who have already muted someone. I can tell how it ruins my experience.
Maybe we can do something else: check my post history. Check whenever I have ever been unfriendly, bullying or whatever metric you care about that for you warrants being blocked. Just check it.
And then, if you agree with Yousef that I am deserving of having my experience on this site being impacted over being a terrible person, then you can sleep safely, knowing that your feature is working as intended.
Or, in the really small off chance that I was not being unreasonable at all, undo the block and inform the user that this is misuse of the feature and that it impacts another's other's users experience negatively.
@Anti-Matter That is a great idea. I have always really enjoyed the NintendoLife community. Maybe this is the right moment to move over there permanently!
Thanks!
