Fans were imagining truly outrageous mods even before the port's release in January 2022, with one popular piece of concept art swapping God of War's Kratos for GTA: San Andreas' CJ to create a wildly different fantasy adventure.

Now modder and YouTuber Omega Fantasy has brought that hilarious concept art to life in the form of an actual God of War mod. The bizarre creation, made available by Omega Fantasy via Patreon, replaces Kratos with a pixelated model of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas protagonist Carl «CJ» Johnson. The swap even changes the Leviathan Axe, which gets replaced by an old-fashioned baseball bat.
