If you grew up in the nineties, chances are you'll know of Gex, a series of games featuring a wise-cracking Gecko that's a spoof of the early James Bond movies. For a while, Gex has been languishing in the past despite having a fairly sizable cult following, but it now seems like he's coming back in a big way.
Announced during this year's Limited Run Games Showcase, the Gex Trilogy will bring the first three games to modern systems for the very first time. The Gex Trilogy includes the original Gex, Gex: Enter the Gecko, and Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko and will be available on pretty much all platforms including Steam, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch. It's worth noting that it seems like these are just straight ports rather than remasters of any kind.

Unfortunately, a release date doesn't seem to have been shared just yet, but Limited Run promises that it share some more details soon. We can also assume, given that it's Limited Run behind the title, that physical copies are probably going to be available too, although there's no confirmed information on that yet either. In any case, it's nice to see Gex back in the spotlight once again and much more accessible to boot.
