As it does most years since 2013, Rockstar Games is celebrating the 4th of July with a special update for Grand Theft Auto Online. This week's update brings a variety of Independence Day celebrations to the game, including free America-themed vehicles and more for everyone.
«The grill's heating up, and fireworks are exploding around the clock. It's time to celebrate Independence Day in Los Santos, and the patriotic flair is in full force citywide,» Rockstar said.
Everyone who logs in to GTA Online gets the Vapid Liberator monster truck for free from Warstock Cache & Carry. Everyone also gets a variety of themed liveries, including bundles called Stars & Stripes, Eagle Claw, and Fighting Freedom.
Players can also find a specially marked «Gun Van» where they can acquire a special firework launcher and musket themed around America's birthday. What's more, Rockstar is offering 50% off Independence Day-themed content, including:
Beyond the 4th of July-themed content, GTA Online adds a new dynamic event this week called Finders Keepers. Gangs are traveling throughout Los Santos transporting goods, and your job is to stop them. Additionally, GTA Online players get double GTA$ and RP on all smuggler sell missions this week.
