Samsung should be unveiling the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 later this year, somewhere between August and September. Both devices have leaked extensively in the past, and although we do not exactly know how they look, plenty of noteworthy information is available about these two phones. Especially the fact that these devices are to use a waterdrop hinge mechanism that would increase the durability and allow the devices to fold completely flat, making these a much better option. Now, both phones have finally appeared on Geekbench, confirming their scores along with their respective model numbers.
The Galaxy Z Fold 5 has the model number SM-F946U and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 has the model number SM-F731U. Of course, these are the U.S. models, and you can expect slightly different model numbers internationally. Both devices are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy, offering higher-than-normal clock speeds. However, the most interesting part is that both of these phones, despite being in the early stages of development, are still faster than the Galaxy S23 Ultra, which apparently uses the same chipset.

The reason why these are such impressive scores is that the Galaxy S23 Ultra (SM-S918B) scores 1,364 in single-core and 4,460 in multi-core benchmarks.
